SUMMARY

Microsoft Windows 95 provides file-transfer capabilities for users of Windows 95 and VoiceView-capable modems. If two users have VoiceView modems, Microsoft File Transfer lets them exchange files with each other while talking over the telephone.

Microsoft File Transfer is available on online services as a file named Vvsetup.exe.

Microsoft File Transfer is included with the CD-ROM version of Windows 95 and is installed when you install a VoiceView-capable modem. You need Vvsetup.exe only if you have the floppy disk version of Windows 95.

Installation

To install Vvsetup.exe, follow these steps:

  1. Download the Vvsetup.exe file from one of the online services listed below to an empty folder.
  2. In My Computer or Windows Explorer, double-click the Vvsetup.exe file.
  3. Follow the instructions on the screen.
  4. Read the Readme.txt file that is displayed on the screen.
