SUMMARY
In Microsoft Project version 4.0 and later, macro information can be stored in either the individual project file or in the GLOBAL.MPT file. The macro definitions for Microsoft Project version 3.0 are contained in a view file. This article describes how to import macros from Microsoft Project 3.0.
To Import Macros
- On the File menu, click Open.
- Select the view file you want to import and click OK or Open.
- On the Tools menu, point to Macro, and then click Macros. (The macros from the imported view file will be added to the existing list of macros.)
- In the Macro list, select the macro you want to import, and click Edit.NOTE: The macro will automatically be converted to a Visual Basic for Applications procedure. The earlier version of the code will be commented with semicolons.
- Repeat steps 3 and 4 for any other macros you want to import.
- On the File menu, click Close, and then click No.NOTE: You may need to modify the Visual Basic for Applications code after you convert your macro. For example, if the old macro contained the SendKeys command, you will need to modify the converted macro.
