When you convert a Microsoft Access database from version 1.x to 2.0, your graphs are not updated automatically from Microsoft Graph version 3.0 to 5.0. This article describes how to convert the graphs in a Microsoft Access 2.0 database to Microsoft Graph version 5.0.

The following steps describe how to convert your graphs from Microsoft Graph version 3.0 to 5.0:

  1. In Program Manager, double-click the Graph AutoConvert icon in your Microsoft Access 2.0 program group.
  2. In the AutoConversion dialog box, select the On option button and then choose OK.
  3. Convert your Microsoft Access version 1.x database to version 2.0. For more information about converting databases from version 1.x to 2.0, search for "converting databases to version 2.0" using the Microsoft Access 2.0 Help menu.
  4. Open the converted database in Microsoft Access 2.0.
  5. Open in Design view a form or report that contains a graph.
  6. Double-click the graph object to start Microsoft Graph 5.0.
  7. From the File menu, choose Exit & Return To Form: <Form Name>, or choose Exit & Return To Report: <Report Name>.
  8. Close the form or report. When you are prompted to save your changes, choose Yes. Note that your graph is now converted to Microsoft Graph version 5.0.
