SYMPTOMS
In Microsoft Excel, when you save a worksheet in the QuattroPro/DOS (.wq1) file format, you may receive one of the following error messages.
In Microsoft Excel versions 5.0 and 7.0
Where <cell ref> is a worksheet cell reference.
In Microsoft Excel 97
When you open the file you saved in the QuattroPro/DOS format, the cell that contained a formula now contains just the value as it appeared when the workbook was saved.
CAUSE
When saving to the QuattroPro/DOS (*.wq1) format, you will receive the error message if your workbook contains any of the following Microsoft Excel worksheet functions:
- N() - T() - NPER() - FV() - only if you use the optional arguments pv and type - PMT() - only if you use the optional arguments fv and type - PV() - only if you use the optional arguments fv and type
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the versions of Microsoft Excel listed at the beginning of this article.
