MORE INFORMATION

During installation of FoxPro for Macintosh, the user is prompted to select a folder in which to install FoxPro. This button makes its selection based on the folder that is currently open.

The GETDIR() function also presents the user with a dialog box that is meant to select a folder. The Select button in this dialog box functions differently from the one in the Setup dialog box. The GETDIR() dialog box operates in two ways:

  • If a folder is highlighted and Select is clicked, the highlighted folder is returned by the GETDIR() function. -or-
  • If nothing is highlighted and Select is clicked, the currently open folder is returned by the GETDIR() function.
