SUMMARY
There is a documentation error on page 88 of “Getting Started and Printer Information” for Word for MS-DOS.
Page 88 incorrectly lists the Hewlett-Packard (HP) DeskJet 500c as a supported printer.
This is not true. Instead, the HP DeskJet 500 should be listed in its place.
Word does support printing to the HP DeskJet 500c in black-and-white mode. For more information, query on the following words in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
