SYMPTOMS
When using the LaserMaster printer driver version 4.0a in Word 6.0 for Windows, you may receive a general protection (GP) fault when you choose Page Setup from the File menu.
NOTE: This problem does not occur in Word versions 2.x for Windows.

The LaserMaster 4.0a printer driver requires the LaserMaster Professional controller. The Professional Controller is an older product and 4.0a is the latest, but last, release of Windows software for it. Microsoft tested Word 6.0 with the WinJet and WinPrinter LaserMaster products and their software version 1.70 for these products. We cannot guarantee compatibility with the earlier versions of the products.
According to LaserMaster, new applications may have problems with the Professional series drivers.
