MultiPlan Converter Enhancements in Word 6.0a for Windows |
Q110676
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Word for Windows, version 6.0a
SUMMARY
Included below is a summary of corrections made to the MLTIPLAN.CNV converter used by Word 6.0a to open or retrieve data during print merge from Microsoft MultiPlan versions 3.x and 4.2 spreadsheet files. Each correction listed here has been made since the immediately previous Word 6.0 product release. Corrected problems include:
Loss of Data When Opening MultiPlan 4.2 Spreadsheet Files
When you open a MultiPlan 4.2 spreadsheet into Word 6.0, all data is lost. The cells of the resulting table (or tab-delimited structure if the original spreadsheet contained greater than 31 columns) are empty.
This problem occurs only with the version of the MultiMate converter made available with the Word 6.0 for Windows Supplemental Conversion Disk. The problem also occurs only when opening MultiPlan version 4.2 spreadsheet files. The problem does not occur with MultiPlan 3.x files.
This problem was corrected in Word 6.0a.
GP Fault Opening MultiPlan 4.2 Spreadsheet Files
An isolated problem in which you can receive a general protection (GP) fault when opening a MultiPlan 4.2 spreadsheet has also been addressed.
