WINDOWS

The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Word for Windows, versions 2.0, 2.0a, 2.0a-CD, 2.0b, 2.0c - Microsoft Graph for Windows, versions 3.0a, 3.0b - Microsoft Windows operating system version 3.1

SYMPTOMS

A graph created in Microsoft Graph version 3.0a or 3.0b from a Word version 2.0x table splits the data labels if the row height is greater than seven lines. The remaining text from the table cell is used as the next label and Graph behaves as if the remaining data labels are in lower rows on the Datasheet.

Cutting and pasting the same information from a Word table into the data label cells in Graph produces the same effect. However, this problem does not occur if the same data or up to twice that amount is directly typed into the data label from within the Graph Datasheet.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem:

  • Type the information directly into the Microsoft Graph Datasheet.

    -or-

  • Upgrade to Word 6.0 for Windows.
