The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Excel for Windows versions 4.0 and 4.0a

SUMMARY

In Microsoft Excel version 4.0, when you press the F1 key when you are in a custom input box, you access Microsoft Excel Help instead of custom help.

In Microsoft Excel version 4.0, the INPUT() function allows seven arguments. The seventh argument is Help_ref, a reference to a custom online Help topic.

If you include the Help_ref argument, you cannot access your custom help by pressing the F1 key. To access custom help in an input box, choose the Help button or press ALT+H.
