SYMPTOMS

When you use the Packard Bell mouse with the Packard Bell mouse driver version 2.33 in Works, the cursor doesn’t blink if you are running in graphics mode.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, contact Packard Bell?s technical support at (818) 886-2098 or (800) 733-4433 to obtain an updated mouse driver. To workaround this problem, run Works in text mode to obtain a blinking cursor.

MORE INFORMATION

To test for this problem:

  1. Restart the computer without loading the Packard Bell mouse driver.
  2. Start Works and choose Works Settings from the Options menu.
  3. Change the Screen Mode setting to Graphics and choose OK.

The cursor should now be blinking.
