------------------------------------------------------------------- The information in this article applies to: - Microsoft Publisher version 2.0 ------------------------------------------------------------------- SYMPTOMS ======== If a file is saved into a directory that has an international (extended) character in the directory name, the Preview will be unavailable, even if a preview was saved with the file. RESOLUTION ========== Publisher version 2.0 is unable to preview files that were saved to directories that have international (extended) characters in the directory name. This problem does not occur in Publisher version 2.0a. STEPS TO REPRODUCE PROBLEM ========================== 1. With File Manager, create a directory that contains an international (extended) character in the directory name. 2. Create a Publisher file and save that file to the newly created directory. Make sure Save Preview is selected in the Save As box. 3. Close the Publisher file. 4. In the File menu in Publisher, choose Open Existing Publication. 5.
