SYMPTOMS

The Microsoft BallPoint Mouse does not work with the PS/2-style port (also called a mouse port) of the Acros model 200/386 computer. When you invoke the Microsoft BallPoint Mouse driver, it returns the following message:

Driver not installed - Microsoft Mouse not found.

The message may vary depending on the mouse driver version.

WORKAROUND

To avoid this problem, connect the BallPoint Mouse to the serial port. At this point, this is the only workaround available. Acros states there is no workaround for making the BallPoint Mouse work on the mouse port.
