The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Excel for Windows, version 5.0
  • Microsoft Excel for the Macintosh, version 5.0

SUMMARY

In Microsoft Excel version 5.0, TipWizard tips are usually displayed in bold. However, tips that exceed a certain length are displayed in a regular typeface, rather than in bold.

MORE INFORMATION

Some tips cannot be displayed in bold type because the size of the TipWizard box is fixed. Bold text uses more space than regular text; therefore, a tip that is too long to fit in the box in bold type is shown in regular text.

However, the following tip, because it will not fit in the TipWizard Box in bold, will appear in regular text:

For line charts only, you can choose Options from the Tools menu, and
then specify on the Charting tab whether you want blanks and errors
omitted, treated as zeros, or interpolated into the chart.
