SYMPTOMS
========
Publisher 2.0 will report an error if you attempt to paste a picture from
Excel 4.0 or 4.0a or WordPerfect version 6.0
RESOLUTION
==========
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Publisher version 2.0. This
problem was corrected in Publisher version 2.0a. Contact Microsoft
Publisher Product Support to obtain the Publisher 2.0a maintenance release.
MORE INFORMATION
================
In Excel 4.0x, you choose the Copy Picture command if you hold down the
SHIFT key while choosing the Edit menu. The selected information in Excel
will be copied to the Clipboard as a picture. One of two errors will occur
in Publisher 2.0 when pasting this picture into Publisher:
1. If you choose Paste from the Edit menu, you will receive the
following error:
Unable to communicate with server
2. If you choose Paste Special, you will receive a general protection
(GP) fault in the PUBOLEUI.DLL module.
