------------------------------------------------------------------- The information in this article applies to: - Microsoft Publisher version 2.0 ------------------------------------------------------------------- SYMPTOMS ======== If you try to access the BorderArt dialog box when the MSPUB\BORDERS directory has either been deleted or renamed, Publisher will generate the following error message: MSPUB caused a General Protection Fault in module KRNL386.EXE at 0003:0932. Closing the error message closes Publisher without allowing you to save your changes. RESOLUTION ========== Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Publisher version 2.0. This problem was corrected in Publisher 2.0a. STEPS TO REPRODUCE PROBLEM ========================== 1. Set up Publisher and be sure to install BorderArt. 2. Delete or rename the MSPUB\BORDERS directory. 3. Start Publisher. From the Start Up window, choose Start From Scratch and select Full Page. Click OK. 4. Select the text frame tool. 5. From the Format menu, choose BorderArt. Publisher will generate the following error message twice (choose OK on both error messages): Can't Find BorderArt files. Publisher can't find the necessary files for creating BorderArt. Run the Setup program again and it will automatically install them for you. Then try this command again. Press F1 now if you want more information on running Setup. 6. Repeat step 5. 7.
