The information in the article provides generic settings for setting up and printing envelopes from a Database or Word Processor file to a printer that feeds envelopes in the center position.
This article assumes the envelopes are manually fed and no envelope cartridge or feeder is used.

To set up a Database file for envelope printing, use the steps below. Margin settings for Word Processor envelopes are listed at the end of this article.
Open your Database file.
Create a New Form.
In the Standard Sizes or Form Sizes box, choose Envelope.
From the list of available envelope sizes, choose the envelope size you plan to use.
Choose the Fields button on the right side of the New/Set Up Form dialog box. If you are using Works 4.0, choose OK.
Select each field you want to use in the address on the envelope. choose the Place or Insert Field button.
Works 3.0: As you do this for each desired field, a check mark appears next to the selected field name. When you have selected all the fields you want to use in your address, choose the OK button twice. You must then arrange the fields how you want them to appear on the form.
Works 4.0: Press New Line when you want to place a field on a separate line. Once you have inserted all your fields, press Done.
From the File menu, choose Page Setup.
In the Paper area, choose US Letter.
Under Orientation, choose Landscape.
Choose the Document button. The default margins should be:
top = 2.33 bottom = 2.33 left = 0.42 right = 1.48
From the File menu, choose Print.
The envelope should print correctly. If you receive the error message
The Form to Print is larger than the current page size, text may be truncated.
choose OK. This error message does not affect the printing process.

To print envelopes from a Word Processor document, the appropriate margins should be:
top = 2.5 bottom = 2 left = 0.5 right = 1.5
