XL: Undo Does Not Remove Page Breaks Created with Subtotals

SUMMARY

In Microsoft Excel, when you choose the Subtotals command from the Data menu, some manual page breaks may be inserted into your document. You cannot remove these manual page breaks by choosing the Undo command from the Edit menu.

WORKAROUND

To remove page breaks created by subtotals, do either of the following:

  1. Select the area containing the subtotals and page breaks.
  2. Choose the Subtotals command from the Data menu and make sure that the Page Breaks Between Groups option is selected.
  3. Choose the Remove All button.

    -or-

  4. To select the entire worksheet, choose the Select All button in the upper-left corner of the worksheet.
  5. From the Insert menu, choose Remove Page Breaks.
