WINDOWS NT

The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Win32 Software Development Kit (SDK) for Windows NT version 3.1

SYMPTOMS

If you make a NetUserEnum() call from a down-level computer remoted to a Windows NT machine, the error return is:

2140 (NERR_InternalError).

This happens only if the down-level computer remotes the API to the Windows NT computer and provides a buffer size that is greater than zero but less than the size of one element of the data structure.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT and Windows NT Advanced Server version 3.1. This problem was corrected in the latest U.S. Service Pack for Windows NT and Windows NT Advanced Server version 3.1.
