SYMPTOMS

After you detach and reattach the Token Ring cable from your computer, Windows NT may display a STOP message. This problem occurs when you have the SNA Server service running. The following event is logged:

233: DLC command failed, error code 23

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT and Windows NT Advanced Server version 3.1. This problem was corrected in the latest U.S. Service Pack for Windows NT and Windows NT Advanced Server version 3.1.
