SYMPTOMS

An error message may appear that states one of the volumes in a striped set with parity can no longer be accessed. This error message may appear several times a day. The SCSI driver, DPTSCSI.SYS, has a problem that creates this error.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT and Windows NT Advanced Server version 3.1. This problem was corrected in the latest U.S. Service Pack for Windows NT and Windows NT Advanced Server version 3.1.
