SYMPTOMS

You may notice on your NCR multiprocessor (MP) computer that one processor seems to be stuck at 100% usage. This is an error in the manner in which the NCR hardware abstraction layer (HAL) reports CPU usage.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT and Windows NT Advanced Server version 3.1. This problem was corrected in the latest U.S. Service Pack for Windows NT and Windows NT Advanced Server version 3.1.
