- Microsoft SNA Server for Windows NT, version 2.0 |
SYMPTOMS
If APPC-invokable transaction programs (TPs) are being used with SNA Server and the first character of a TP name is less than EBCDIC hex 0x40, the incoming allocate fails.
RESOLUTION
The SYSTEM.DLL module has been updated and is available on Library 1 of the MSSNA forum on CompuServe.
To install the updated module on the Windows NT machine where the invokable APPC TP is to run, do the following:
From a command prompt, type the following and press ENTER:
NET STOP SNABASE
This stops all SNA Server processes on the machine (and forces off all current SNA Server users if entered at the server).
Copy the patched module to the <SNARoot>directory.
Restart the computer by typing the following and pressing ENTER:
NET START SNABASE
