Q106678
------------------------------------------------------------------- The information in this article applies to: - Microsoft Publisher version 2.0 ------------------------------------------------------------------- SYMPTOMS ======== Publisher 2.0 is unable to use any changes to the default printer if the line "UseDefaultPrSetup=1" had been added to your MSPUB.INI. The only way to change the default printer is by using the Printers option in Control Panel. RESOLUTION ========== In the [printing] section of the MSPUB.INI file, delete or remark out the following line: UseDefaultPrSetup=1 To remark out this line, so that it will be ignored, place a semicolon at the beginning of the line. For example: ;UseDefaultPrSetup=1 NOTE: The MSPUB.INI file is located in the WINDOWS directory. MORE INFORMATION ================ If Publisher 2.0 is installed over an installation of Publisher 1.0a and the line "UseDefaultPrSetup=1" had been added to your MSPUB.INI file, or if this line has been added after installing Publisher 2.0, then changes to the printer setup will not be recognized by the printer. These changes may include orientation, resolution, and so on. The changes must be made from Control Panel. Additional query words: 2.00 mspub
