ODBC Driver Does Not Display Second Record in dBASE File

The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Word for Windows, version 6.0

When you open a dBASE file using the open database connectivity (ODBC) driver, Word for Windows does not display the second record in the dBASE file. Similarly, the second record does not display when you open the dBASE file in Microsoft Excel 4.0 or if you view it using the query tool available for use with Word.

We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.

In dBASE, convert your dBASE file to Microsoft Excel format and then open it in Word.
