The information in this article applies to:

SYMPTOMS

When you copy text that contains a bookmark from a Word version 6.0 for Windows and paste it into Word version 2.x for Windows, the bookmark does not appear in Word 2.x.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem with Word versions 2.x and 6.0 for Windows. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
