Last Paragraph Mark Has Small "Hot" Area for Reporting Formats |
Q105896
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Word for Windows, version 6.0
SUMMARY
To check the formatting on the last paragraph mark in a document, you must click the Help button on the Standard toolbar or press SHIFT+F1. This action turns the insertion point into a question mark with an arrow. You should then click the pointer on the left side of the last paragraph mark. This selects the last paragraph mark and brings up a box describing the paragraph and character formats for the last paragraph mark.
Clicking the paragraph mark or clicking to the right side of the paragraph mark only produces a system beep and the formats for the paragraph mark are not shown.
To check the formatting on any other character or paragraph mark, you can click anywhere on the character or paragraph mark. The hot area for the last paragraph mark happens to be smaller and is limited to the left edge.
