SYMPTOMS

There is a memory-related problem that can cause your data to become corrupted and your computer to stop responding (hang). This problem is related to the use of the AllocVM application programming interface (API) command.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT and Windows NT Advanced Server version 3.1. This problem was corrected in the latest U.S. Service Pack for Windows NT and Windows NT Advanced Server version 3.1.
