STOP Message: Sequent Server After Heavy Use

SYMPTOMS

A Sequent server may halt with a blue STOP message under heavy stress (400 processes) after 6-20 hours of use. The STOP message points to a memory page that was being reused (bug check A).

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT and Windows NT Advanced Server version 3.1. This problem was corrected in the latest U.S. Service Pack for Windows NT and Windows NT Advanced Server version 3.1.
