SUMMARY

Several factors can cause a number not to appear in a Microsoft Works spreadsheet cell, even though it still shows in the formula bar when that cell is selected. Check for the following:

  1. The column width is too small.

Usually this results in “##” showing in the cell; however, when the column is too narrow for the # sign, nothing shows. You must enlarge the column width to accommodate the number in the cell.

  2. The cell is formatted for white text.
