XL5: Dialog Sheets Limited to One Dialog Box Per Sheet

The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Excel for Windows, version 5.0
  • Microsoft Excel for the Macintosh, version 5.0

Custom dialog boxes are designed, created, and stored on special sheets called "dialog sheets." Each dialog sheet can contain just one custom dialog box. However, you can add as many dialog sheets to your workbook as you need, limited only by available memory.

You can access custom dialog boxes with Microsoft Excel macros that you write. For example, a macro might display a custom dialog box that is stored on DialogSheet1. When you select a button in that dialog box, your macro might then display another custom dialog box, stored on DialogSheet2.
