- Microsoft PowerPoint for Windows, version 3.0

SYMPTOMS

When you check the spelling of a presentation in PowerPoint for Windows, the spelling checker will not catch any errors in capitalization. For example, the words “treE” or “rEmemBER” will not be detected as misspelled. This problem does not occur in PowerPoint for Windows, version 2.0, or in any version of PowerPoint for the Macintosh.

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in PowerPoint version 3.0. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
