PRB: "Missing Operand" with => and =<

ID: Q104470

The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft FoxPro for Windows, versions 2.5 and 2.5a
  • Microsoft FoxPro for MS-DOS, versions 2.0, 2.5, and 2.5a

You receive the error message, "Missing operand."

Using the operators =, <, and > in the wrong order will cause the error message "Missing operand."

The correct way to use these operators is with the < or > first, and then the = sign. For example:

   x => y causes "Missing operand" error (x and y are any numbers)
   x =< y     causes "Missing operand" error
   x >= y     Correct
   x <= y     Correct
