PUB2: Nontransparent Region in 2GIRLS.CGM

PUB2: Nontransparent Region in 2GIRLS.CGM

The information in this article applies to:

 - Microsoft Publisher for Windows, versions 2.0, 2.0a

The Publisher 2.0 clip-art image titled 2GIRLS.CGM contains a
nontransparent region near the center of the graphic. This
nontransparent region appears as a white area if the shading of the
graphic is modified.

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Publisher version 2.0 and
2.0a. This problem was corrected in Publisher version 3.0 for Windows 95.

The 2GIRLS.CGM graphic can be recolored in Microsoft Draw. You can
recolor the transparent region to the desired background color by
copying the image into Microsoft Draw, modifying the image and then
embedding it into your Publisher document.

Steps to Reproduce Problem

1. Open or switch to Microsoft Publisher.

2. Create a picture frame, and choose the Import Picture command from
   the File menu.

3. Select 2GIRLS.CGM from Publisher's CLIPART subdirectory.

4. With the picture frame selected, choose Shading from the Format menu
and select a background and foreground color other than white.

Note the white region inside the elbow of the right silhouette.
