SYMPTOMS
In Windows NT, if you use the NET TIME /DOMAIN command and your current domain name contains extended characters and the Domain Controller is unavailable, the domain name may be incorrectly mapped and/or truncated in the following error message:
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT version 3.1 and Windows NT Advanced Server version 3.1. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
