SYMPTOMS

In version 2.1 of Microsoft Mail for PC Networks, the External Mail program truncates or loses large messages, sometimes returning only the subject field of the header.

CAUSE

The computer running the External Mail program does not have enough available conventional memory space to handle the message.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in version 2.1 of Microsoft Mail for PC Networks. This problem was corrected in version 3.0, so that too-large messages are returned to the sender.
