ACC: DDEPoke to Word for Windows Incorrectly Formatted

SYMPTOMS

Advanced: Requires expert coding, interoperability, and multiuser skills.

When you are "poking," or sending, data to a bookmarked location in a Microsoft Word for Windows document during a DDE conversation, the information may arrive in Word for Windows formatted with an incorrect font and size.



RESOLUTION

The Word for Windows product support group has described a workaround for any application that tries to poke data into Word for Windows. To review the article that lists the workaround, please see the following article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the versions of Microsoft Word for Windows listed above. We are researching this problem and will post more information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
