WordPerfect 6.0 for DOS has a new file format that differs from WordPerfect 5.1 and 5.0 file format. In order for Word for Windows to read WordPerfect 6.0 for DOS documents, you must save them in WordPerfect 5.1 file format or another file format that Word for Windows can read. For best results, choose WordPerfect 5.1 file format.
WordPerfect 5.1 and 5.2 for Windows and WordPerfect 5.1 for DOS all share the same file format. When you convert WordPerfect 6.0 files to WordPerfect 5.1 format, WordPerfect 6.0 features do not convert.
