SYMPTOMS
Works 2.0 quits unexpectedly if you use it with version 3.0 of the Hewlett- Packard (HP) DeskWriter C printer driver. The problem occurs when you choose Page Setup from the File menu and try to change the page orientation, or choose Options or Colors. Works quits and an error message type 1, 2, or 3 appears. You may not be able to change the Media Size or Media option.
NOTE: This problem also occurs when you use Works 2.0e under System 7 (with 32-bit addressing disabled) if you are printing to an HP DeskWriter 550C, using version 2.0 of the printer driver.
RESOLUTION
Works 3.0 and 4.0 do not experience the same problem with version 3.0 of the DeskWriter C printer driver. To resolve this problem, upgrade to Works 4.0. While you can work around this problem by using version 2.0 of the DeskWriter C driver, it is recommended that you upgrade to Works 4.0 to avoid this problem.
