SUMMARY

Word for MS-DOS does not support the Hewlett-Packard (HP) DeskJet 1200c printer.

WORKAROUNDS

The DeskJet 1200c emulates the HP PaintJet XL300 printer, so you can use the PaintJet XL300 printer driver (HPPAINT3.PRD) supplied with Word to print on the DeskJet 1200c.
The DeskJet 1200c supports the PCL5 printer control language, so you can use the HP LaserJet 4 printer driver (HP4.PRD).
The DeskJet 1200c supports PostScript, so you can use the POSTSCRP.PRD printer driver.
HP distributes a printer driver for the DeskJet 1200c for use with Word version 5.5. To obtain this printer driver, contact HP Technical Support at (208) 323-2551. You can also obtain this printer driver from the HP Peripherals Forum on CompuServe by typing GO HPPER, selecting Library 6, and downloading the file DOS12C.ZIP (file size: 9513 kilobytes).
