MACINTOSH

The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft PowerPoint for the Macintosh, version 3.0

SYMPTOMS

When Microsoft PowerPoint 3.0 for the Macintosh is attempting to subscribe to a Quicken 4.0 edition file, you will receive an error message indicating that PowerPoint is low on memory. Increasing the memory allocated to PowerPoint will not resolve the problem.

RESOLUTION

The only alternatives are:

  1. Copy and paste the desired information from Quicken into PowerPoint.
  2. Have another application, such as Word 5.0, subscribe to the Quicken edition file. Then publish the Word file and have PowerPoint subscribe to the Word edition file.

MORE INFORMATION

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in PowerPoint version 3.0. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.

Intuit Quicken is manufactured by a vendor independent of Microsoft; we make no warranty, implied or otherwise, regarding this product’s performance or reliability.
