Summary: The following error message is generated if a COBOL tries to print to a printer that is not on-line: “Write Fault Error Writing Device PRN Abort Retry Ignore?” This MS-DOS error message is generated after one minute has elapsed. This delay occurs as a result of a change that was made to MS-DOS Version 3.00. The same behavior is exhibited with a MS-DOS “COPY filename PRN” command.
