The information in this article applies to:

  • == Microsoft Works for the Macintosh, versions 3.0 and 4.0 ==

SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Works, page numbers are not reset for print merges. For example, two two-page form letters print merged with a database will result with the pages numbered 1 through 4, rather than pages 1 and 2 for each letter.

RESOLUTION

Do not use the page numbering token for page numbering. Instead, manually type the page number on each page of the document.

MORE INFORMATION

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Works versions 3.0 and 4.0 for the Macintosh. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
