SYMPTOMS

When you try to reconcile an account statement in Microsoft Money, the service charge and interest charge boxes may be unavailable.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if you previously started to reconcile the statement, entered a service charge and/or interest charge in the Balance window, and then postponed reconciling the statement.

MORE INFORMATION

When you enter a service charge or interest charge in the Balance window of a credit card or bank account, Money automatically records transactions for these charges in your Account Register or Account Book. When you resume reconciling your account at a later time, the service charge and interest charge boxes are unavailable because the transactions are already recorded.

You can modify the service charge or interest charge transactions at any time in your Account Register or Account Book.
