PRB: Must Click Mouse Twice to Select Submenu

  • Microsoft FoxPro for MS-DOS, versions 2.0, 2.5, 2.5a, 2.5b, 2.6

SYMPTOMS

In the Menu Builder, if a menu is created with a single pad having two submenus under it, the mouse must be clicked twice to bring up the next submenu the first time the submenu is selected. This problem occurs only the first time the submenu is activated. On subsequent selections, it works normally. This problem does not occur when the ENTER key is used.

Steps to Reproduce Problem

1. From the File menu, choose New, and select Menu.

2. In the Menu Builder, type the word "Test" (without the quotation

   marks) under Prompt, and have the result say "Submenu".

3. Choose Create, and type "Test1" (without the quotation marks) with

   "Submenu" as the result.

4. Choose Create, and type "Test2" (without the quotation marks) with

   "Submenu" as the result.

5. Choose Create, and type "Test3" (without the quotation marks) with

   "Procedure" as the result.

6. In the text editing region, type the following:

      WAIT WINDOW "Hello"

7. Generate the menu by choosing Generate from the Program menu. 8. When you are finished generating the menu, type the following

   command in the Command window:

      DO <menu name>.mpr
