SUMMARY

Before you can restore to a target that you find while browsing with NTBACKUP and the common dialog box, you must quit NTBACKUP and then restart it.

With NTBACKUP, you have several options for the restore location. You can use the local or network drives you were connected to before starting NTBACKUP, or you can choose an alternative path. You can choose the "..." button in the alternative path field of the Restore Information window to invoke the browser and then use its Network button to make a new network connection. If you choose a new connection, you can't use it until the selection of drives is updated in the drives dialog box in the Restore Information window. The only way to effect this is to quit NTBACKUP and then restart it.
