Video For Windows 1.0 VidEdit Doesn't Run on Windows NT

Last reviewed: May 8, 1997
Article ID: Q102553

The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Windows NT operating system version 3.1
  • Microsoft Windows NT Advanced Server version 3.1
  • Microsoft Video for Windows, version 1.0

Video for Windows 1.0 VidEdit doesn't work on Windows NT. VidEdit uses a 16-bit multimedia driver instead of the multimedia application program interface (API) functions. Other Video for Windows version 1.0 functions may not work correctly under Windows NT because not all Video-related APIs and messages are translated (or "thunked") for 16-bit support.
