PRB: View File Invalid When Using 16-Bit Support Libraries ID: Q102459 The information in this article applies to: Microsoft FoxPro for MS-DOS, versions 2.5 and 2.5a SYMPTOMS When you are running a 16-bit stand-alone executable program or a run-time program using the 16-bit support libraries, the following error message appears: View file invalid However, this error does not occur in a 32-bit executable program or a run-time program using the 32-bit support libraries. CAUSE The view file was created in the 32-bit product with at least one database open in a work area higher than 25. The 32-bit product has 225 work areas, whereas the 16-bit product has only 25. RESOLUTION Create a separate view file for use with the 16-bit version; make sure it uses only the first 25 work areas.
