Print Merging Envelopes with or Without the Optional Envelope Feeder

Use the appropriate instructions above to design your main print merge document. When the instructions say to print the envelope, start the print merge operation instead.

If you use the manual feed slot to print the envelopes, the print merge might stall when the printer requests that you load an envelope. If this occurs, resume the print job in Windows Print Manager.

Troubleshooting Envelope Printing Problems

Paper Jams

Size 6 3/4 (3 5/8- by 6 1/2-inch) envelopes do not print correctly. The envelope address and return address print about 3 inches too far to the right, and the envelope address is cut off on the right side. The printer prints the envelope, then a paper jam occurs (the "42 Font Error" message appears on the front panel of the printer). This paper jam is caused by a physical paper handling limitation of the printer.
