SYMPTOMS

If you set a decimal tab on a line, type a number with a decimal point, and then continue to type text after the number, the text will initially fail to wrap. If you continue typing, however, the text will wrap, but the tab will disappear (the number aligned with the tab will fall back to the beginning of the line).

Also, if you position your cursor at the beginning of the line and press the TAB key again, the cursor does not jump to the decimal tab you set. It jumps instead to the first default tab following the decimal tab.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
